Virtual reality is transforming the way the construction industry operates, designs and constructs buildings by providing real-world experiences in a virtual environment using devices like the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift wearable (HMD) Head Mounted Displays.
Virtual Reality has the potential to affect every aspect of our lives. From the construction of a home to how its residents entertain themselves, it might be surprising to hear that VR is having an effect on the construction industry, but in fact the sector is one of the areas where the technology is making the biggest changes. Along with its cousins augmented reality and mixed reality, VR is set to become an integral part of the construction process from the architect’s office to the job site.
We develop models that work effectively within virtual reality environments to support architects, homebuilders, engineers and retailers. We use Unity 3D game engine for creating virtual environments that can be viewed and using VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) and conduct navigations through 3D environments for MEP and architectural models during the design approval process.
