2D to 3D CAD modeling
Turn Every 2D Drawing Into a 3D Model You Trust
Legacy 2D drawings hide errors that surface on the shop floor. We turn them into accurate, parametric 3D models, every dimension checked, so parts come right.

Where margin leaks
Legacy Drawings Cost Your Margin
Legacy 2D drawings are slow to change and easy to misread. Every hidden error becomes scrap or rework.
Hidden Drawing Errors
- Where margin leaks
- Old drawings carry missing dimensions and conflicts that surface only on the shop floor.
- What we fix
- Every view cross-checked in 3D, with errors flagged before a single part is machined.
Misread by Suppliers
- Where margin leaks
- Complex 2D views are easy to misread, leading to wrong parts and rework.
- What we fix
- Clear 3D models and updated drawings suppliers read right, so parts arrive correct.
Costly Manual Redraws
- Where margin leaks
- Every change to a legacy drawing means slow, error-prone redrafting and lost engineer time.
- What we fix
- Parametric models that update drawings automatically with every change.
No Digital Reuse
- Where margin leaks
- Paper and 2D files cannot feed CNC, simulation or PLM, so the same work is done twice.
- What we fix
- Native and neutral 3D files ready for CAM, simulation and PLM from the first delivery.

What clients ask first
2D to 3D CAD Modeling: Common Questions
Straight answers from our engineering team. If your question isn’t here, ask us directly.
What does 2D to 3D CAD modeling include?
Accurate, parametric 3D models from your 2D drawings, prints or sketches, with assemblies and updated drawings, in SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or your platform.
Which standards do you follow, and who is responsible for the design?
ASME Y14.5 for US clients and AS 1100 for Australian clients. Design responsibility stays with your engineering team, who approve the final models. Bimgraphix does not stamp or certify designs; we answer for the model matching your inputs, and any conflict is flagged for your decision, never guessed.
What if our drawings contain errors?
We flag missing dimensions and conflicts in a report for your decision instead of guessing, so the model matches your intent. Every model is checked against the source before release.
How fast can you deliver, and how is it priced?
We quote per part or per batch and confirm the delivery schedule in writing before work begins, so dates and costs are known on day one. Work is released in batches, so your team can start early. You can begin with one batch of parts and judge the quality before committing the full program.
Is our project information kept confidential?
Yes. We work under your NDA from the first file. Everything we produce, including drawings and models, belongs to you, is shared only through your preferred platform or a secure link, and is seen only by the team assigned to your project.
