Where margin leaks

Duct Rework Costs Your Margin

Ductwork takes the most ceiling space. Every drawing mistake becomes refabrication or delay.

  • Field Clashes

    Where margin leaks
Ducts hit beams, sprinklers and pipes, and crews cut, reroute and wait for answers.
    What we fix
Shop drawings built from a coordinated model, with clashes cleared before fabrication.
  • Wrong Sizes and Fittings

    Where margin leaks
Sections built from unclear drawings arrive wrong and go back to the shop.
    What we fix
Every size, fitting and connection dimensioned and checked before release.
  • Missing Supports

    Where margin leaks
Hangers, supports and access panels left off the drawings are decided on site.
    What we fix
Supports, hangers and service access shown on every sheet, so nothing is left to the field.
  • Slow Submittal Approvals

    Where margin leaks
Incomplete or non-standard drawings are rejected, and installation waits.
    What we fix
Submittal-ready sets prepared to SMACNA and your standards, so approvals come first time.

Level of development

More Detail, Less Refabrication

Ductwork detailed at the wrong level gets refabricated, and every rebuilt section costs schedule and margin.

How it works

From Design to Fabrication

Ductwork is coordinated and detailed before it reaches the shop.

  1. 01

    Share Your Documents

Send drawings, models and specs. We confirm scope, deliverables and dates in writing.

  2. 02

    Coordinate and Detail

Sizes, fittings and supports are cleared with every trade before shop drawings are released.

  3. 03

    Check and Submit

Senior review to SMACNA, the IMC and AS 4254 before fabrication drawings are released.

  4. 04

    Support Through Install

Fast RFI answers and revisions on site, through installation, so crews avoid costly rework.

What clients ask first

Mechanical Shop Drawings: Common Questions

Straight answers from our engineering team. If your question isn’t here, ask us directly.

Ask a senior engineer An engineer replies within one business day.
What do your mechanical shop drawings include?

Fabrication and installation drawings for HVAC ductwork: sizes, routing, fittings, supports, connections and sections, coordinated with every trade.

Which codes do you follow, and who is responsible for the design?

SMACNA and the IMC for US projects; AS 4254 and AS 1668 for Australian projects. Design responsibility stays with your engineer of record, who reviews and seals the work. Bimgraphix does not stamp drawings; we answer for every sheet matching your design inputs, and any gap is raised as an RFI, never guessed.

How do you make sure ductwork installs first time?

Drawings come from a model coordinated with structure and other trades, with clearances and access checked, then senior-reviewed before submittal.

How are fees and schedules set, and can you handle large programs?

Fees and delivery dates are fixed in a written proposal from your scope, priced per floor or per package, before any work starts. Large programs are released floor by floor or by zone, with the team sized to your schedule. Revision rounds are agreed up front, and anything outside scope is quoted before we do it.

How do you protect our drawings, models and data?

We sign your NDA before any files are shared. Your models and drawings remain your property, exchanged through Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore or a secure link, and access is limited to the team on your project.
