Where margin leaks

Sprinkler Rework Costs Your Margin

Fire protection faces the strictest review. A rejected submittal delays occupancy and costs margin.

  • Rejected Submittals

    Where margin leaks
Drawings that miss NFPA or local rules come back from the authority and stall installation.
    What we fix
Drawings prepared to NFPA and local requirements, checked sheet by sheet before submittal.
  • Clashes Above Ceilings

    Where margin leaks
Uncoordinated mains hit ducts, beams and cable trays, forcing costly field reroutes.
    What we fix
Mains, branch lines and heads coordinated with every trade before release.
  • Coverage and Sizing Gaps

    Where margin leaks
Poor head spacing or undersized pipe fails review and forces late redesign.
    What we fix
Head spacing and pipe sizing checked against coverage and hydraulic requirements.
  • Failed Final Inspections

    Where margin leaks
Field changes missing from the drawings fail final inspection and delay occupancy.
    What we fix
As-built records that match the installation, ready for inspection and turnover.

More Detail, Faster Fire Approvals

Thin fire drawings stall in review and get rerouted on site. Drawn too early, they chase a moving design.

What clients ask first

Fire Protection Shop Drawings: Common Questions

Straight answers from our engineering team. If your question isn’t here, ask us directly.

Ask a senior engineer An engineer replies within one business day.
What do your fire protection shop drawings include?

Shop drawings for sprinkler, standpipe and fire pump systems: pipe routing, head locations, valves, hangers and materials, prepared for authority review and installation.

Which codes do you follow, and who is responsible for the design?

NFPA 13, 14 and 20 for US projects and AS 2118 for Australian projects, plus local authority requirements. Design responsibility stays with your engineer of record, who reviews and seals the work. Bimgraphix does not stamp drawings; we answer for every sheet matching your design inputs, and any gap is raised as an RFI, never guessed.

How do you make sure submittals are approved?

Head spacing, coverage and pipe routing are checked against code and the coordinated model, then every sheet is senior-reviewed before submittal to the reviewing authority.

How are fees and schedules set, and can you handle large programs?

Fees and delivery dates are fixed in a written proposal from your scope, priced per floor or per system, before any work starts. Large programs are released floor by floor or by zone, with the team sized to your schedule. Revision rounds are agreed up front, and anything outside scope is quoted before we do it.

How do you protect our drawings, models and data?

We sign your NDA before any files are shared. Your models and drawings remain your property, exchanged through Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore or a secure link, and access is limited to the team on your project.
