Get Every Sheet Metal Part Right Before It’s Cut
Unclear sheet metal drawings mean scrap, misfits and failed inspections. Our code-checked shop drawings and flat patterns get parts right off the brake.

Where margin leaks
Sheet Metal Rework Costs Margin
Sheet metal is cut and bent in minutes. One wrong bend allowance turns a full run into scrap.
Scrapped Parts
- Where margin leaks
- Wrong bend allowances or flat patterns turn a full run of parts into scrap.
- What we fix
- Flat patterns and bend tables checked against your tooling, so every run comes off right.
Field Fit Problems
- Where margin leaks
- Ducts, panels and enclosures that miss the building clash on site and are remade.
- What we fix
- Every run checked against the model and other trades, so parts install the first time.
Failed Inspections
- Where margin leaks
- Duct and fire assemblies that miss code fail inspection and must be torn out and redone.
- What we fix
- Drawings prepared to SMACNA, IMC, AS 4254 and AS 1668, so assemblies pass inspection.
Repeated Errors at Scale
- Where margin leaks
- One drawing error repeats across every part in a production run, multiplying scrap.
- What we fix
- Standardized, checked drawings for every part and variant, so errors never repeat.

What clients ask first
Sheet Metal Shop Drawings: Common Questions
Straight answers from our engineering team. If your question isn’t here, ask us directly.
What do your sheet metal shop drawings include?
Fabrication drawings, flat patterns and assembly details for ductwork, enclosures, cabinets, panels and architectural metal: dimensions, gauges, bends, tolerances and fasteners, with DXF, DWG or STEP files for CNC.
Which codes do you follow, and who is responsible for the design?
SMACNA, the IMC and NFPA 90A for US projects; AS 4254, AS 1668 and AS/NZS 4600 for Australian projects. Design responsibility stays with your engineer of record or the system engineer, who reviews and approves the drawings. Bimgraphix does not stamp drawings; we answer for every sheet matching your inputs, and any gap is raised as an RFI, never guessed.
Will the drawings match our machines and tooling?
Yes. Flat patterns, bend allowances and K-factors are set to your press brakes, punches and laser tables, and every part is checked for manufacturability before release.
How fast can you deliver, and how is it priced?
We quote per part family or per package and confirm the delivery schedule in writing before work begins, so dates and costs are known on day one. Work is released by assembly or system, so your team can start early. You can begin with one assembly and judge the quality before committing the full program.
Is our project information kept confidential?
Yes. We work under your NDA from the first file. Everything we produce, including drawings and CNC files, belongs to you, is shared only through your preferred platform or a secure link, and is seen only by the team assigned to your project.
