Get Every Tank Right Before Fabrication Begins

A tank built from an unclear drawing risks costly field rework. We produce code-compliant tank shop drawings and check every sheet, so panels fit first time.

Where margin leaks

Tank Rework Costs Your Margin

Tank panels are made to order. One wrong nozzle or bolt pattern delays commissioning.

  • Panels That Do Not Fit

    Where margin leaks
Panels cut or punched from unchecked dimensions arrive misaligned and need field rework.
    What we fix
Shell, roof and floor layouts checked plate by plate before fabrication, so panels fit.
  • Code Review Rejections

    Where margin leaks
Drawings that miss API, AWWA or AS/NZS requirements come back from review and stall the job.
    What we fix
Drawings prepared to API 650, AWWA D103, AS/NZS 1170 and project specifications.
  • Accessory Clashes

    Where margin leaks
Ladders, platforms, nozzles and openings clash once the tank is erected.
    What we fix
Every accessory, nozzle and opening coordinated in one model, so erection runs clean.
  • Seam and Joint Leaks

    Where margin leaks
Unclear seam, bolt and sealing details lead to leaks and costly repairs.
    What we fix
Seam, bolt pattern and sealing details set out for erectors, so tanks hold on first fill.

What clients ask first

Industrial Tanks: Common Questions

Straight answers from our engineering team. If your question isn’t here, ask us directly.

Ask a senior engineer An engineer replies within one business day.
What do your industrial tank drawings include?

Fabrication and erection drawings for steel storage tanks: shell and panel layouts, roofs, floors, nozzles, access structures and bills of material.

Which codes do you follow, and who is responsible for the design?

API 650, AWWA D103 and AISC for US projects; AS/NZS 1170, AS 4100 and AS 1692 for Australian projects. Design responsibility stays with your engineer of record, who reviews and seals the work. Bimgraphix does not stamp drawings; we answer for every sheet matching your design inputs, and any gap is raised as an RFI, never guessed.

How do you make sure plate is right before it is cut?

Plate layouts, nozzle orientations and access structures are checked against the design data sheet and code, and the bill of material against the model, before an independent check and senior review.

How are fees and schedules set, and can you handle large programs?

Fees and delivery dates are fixed in a written proposal from your scope, priced per tank or per package, before any work starts. Large programs are released tank by tank, with the team sized to your schedule. Revision rounds are agreed up front, and anything outside scope is quoted before we do it.

How do you protect our drawings, models and data?

We sign your NDA before any files are shared. Your models and drawings remain your property, exchanged through Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore or a secure link, and access is limited to the team on your project.
