Where margin leaks

Coordination Gaps Cost Engineering Firms

Engineering fees are fixed. Every hour spent on clashes or avoidable RFIs is one you absorb.

  • Models That Clash

    Where margin leaks
Structural and MEP models issued separately clash on site, turning into rework and delay.
    What we fix
Discipline models federated and clash-checked before issue, with a report for each run.
  • Drafting Eats Engineering Time

    Where margin leaks
Your engineers spend their hours modeling and drafting instead of design, review and client work.
    What we fix
Dedicated BIM capacity, so your engineers stay on engineering and deadlines hold under peak load.
  • Connections Left Open

    Where margin leaks
Undefined connections delay approvals and fabrication while RFIs go back and forth.
    What we fix
Connection design to AISC 360 and AS 4100, with calculations ready for your review.
  • RFIs After Issue

    Where margin leaks
Incomplete drawings raise questions your fee won't cover, eroding margin on every job.
    What we fix
Complete, checked drawing sets that answer site and fabricator questions in advance.

What clients ask first

Engineering: Common Questions

Straight answers from our engineering team. If your question isn’t here, ask us directly.

Ask a senior engineer An engineer replies within one business day.
Which services do engineering firms use most?

Structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing BIM, MEP coordination, clash detection, structural construction drawings and steel connection design.

Which codes do you work to?

AISC 360, ACI 318, ASCE 7, the IMC, IPC and NEC in the US, and AS 4100, AS 3600, AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3500 in Australia, with design responsibility remaining with your engineer of record.

Who is responsible for the design?

Design responsibility stays with your architect or engineer of record, who reviews and seals the work. Bimgraphix does not stamp drawings; we answer for every sheet matching your design inputs, and any gap is raised as an RFI, never guessed.

How fast can you start, and how is it priced?

Most programs start within a week. We quote per sheet, per model, per floor or per package and confirm the schedule in writing before work begins, so dates and costs are known on day one. You can start with one package and judge the quality before committing the full program.

Is our project information kept confidential?

Yes. We work under your NDA from the first file. Everything we produce belongs to you, is shared only through Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore or a secure link, and is seen only by the team assigned to your project.
