Marine Fabrication Fitted Right the First Time

In a shipyard, a misfit block or outfitting part stops work on the hull and costs berth time. We deliver steel detailing and 3D models checked before release.

Where margin leaks

Rework Costs Marine Fabrication

Marine work is heavy, confined and schedule-bound. A single misfit can hold up a block, a deck or a delivery.

  • Blocks That Do Not Fit

    Where margin leaks
Assemblies misalign at erection, forcing cuts, rewelds and days lost in the yard.
    What we fix
Assemblies modeled and fit-checked in 3D before cutting, so they align at erection.
  • Outfitting Clashes

    Where margin leaks
Platforms, ladders and supports clash with piping, forcing field changes on board.
    What we fix
Misc steel and outfitting detailed against the full model, clear of piping and equipment.
  • Material Overruns

    Where margin leaks
Plate and profile estimates miss; procurement scrambles and the schedule slips.
    What we fix
Material take-offs direct from the model, by block and area, ready for procurement.
  • Legacy Vessels Without Data

    Where margin leaks
Refits run on old drawings that no longer match the vessel, so every fit-up becomes guesswork.
    What we fix
Reverse engineering and 3D models of existing parts and spaces, ready for refit design.

How it works

From Brief to Release

One accountable team, a clear schedule and a senior check before anything is released.

  1. 01

    Share Your Scope

Send drawings, models or scans and class rules in force. We confirm scope and dates.

  2. 02

    Model and Detail

Steel, plate and outfitting modeled and fit-checked in 3D before a single cut is made.

  3. 03

    Check and Release

Checked to ABS, DNV or LR rules, AWS D1.1 or AS/NZS 1554 by a senior engineer first.

  4. 04

    Fabricate and Install

Shop drawings, NC files and take-offs, released by block to match your build sequence.

What clients ask first

Marine: Common Questions

Straight answers from our engineering team. If your question isn’t here, ask us directly.

Ask a senior engineer An engineer replies within one business day.
Which services do marine fabricators use most?

Structural and miscellaneous steel detailing, material take-off, sheet metal shop drawings, mechanical 3D modeling and reverse engineering of existing components.

Do you follow class society rules?

We detail to your designer's approved drawings and the class rules specified for the project, such as ABS, DNV or Lloyd's Register, and flag anything unclear as an RFI. Class approval and design responsibility remain with your naval architect or engineer of record.

Who is responsible for the design?

Design responsibility stays with your architect or engineer of record, who reviews and seals the work. Bimgraphix does not stamp drawings; we answer for every sheet matching your design inputs, and any gap is raised as an RFI, never guessed.

How fast can you start, and how is it priced?

Most programs start within a week. We quote per sheet, per model, per floor or per package and confirm the schedule in writing before work begins, so dates and costs are known on day one. You can start with one package and judge the quality before committing the full program.

Is our project information kept confidential?

Yes. We work under your NDA from the first file. Everything we produce belongs to you, is shared only through Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore or a secure link, and is seen only by the team assigned to your project.
